SMR Home Theatre DVD Review Archive

DVD is the latest home audio/video delivery format. The discs are the size of CD's but because of smaller pits and a smaller track pitch can contain seven times as much data. DVD-Video discs contain high quality MPEG-2 digital video and digital sound (one or more of the following: Dolby Digital 5.1, matrix encoded Dolby Digital, MPEG-Audio (5.1 and 7.1), DTS and PCM). Discs can also contain multiple language soundtracks and various language subtitles together with a choice of camera angle. For more information on DVD, read the latest version of the DVD UseNet FAQ presented by VideoDiscovery.
